In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 40 of the National Food Security Act, 2013, the Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh is pleased to constitute the UT Level Vigilance Committee as per the details enumerated in section 29 of the Act, as under:

The Vigilance Committee shall perform the following functions:-
- Regularly supervise the implementation of all schemes under the National Food Security Act, 2013.
- Inform the District Grievance Redressal Officer, in writing, of any violation of the provisions of the National Food Security Act, 2013.
- Inform the District Grievance Redressal Officer, in writing of any malpractice or misappropriation of funds found by it.
For above purpose, the UT Vigilance Committee can nominate any office/team of officers working in the Chandigarh Department/Board/Corporation as Inquiry Officer/Team.
