COVID 19 WAR ROOM DIRECTIONS
Chandigarh, 4th September 2020: Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Sh. VP Singh Badnore today presided over War Room meeting. The meeting was attended by Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator, and Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, Director General of Police at Punjab Raj Bhawan. Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary (Home), Sh. KK Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Deputy Commissioners of Mohali & Panchkula, Director-PGIMER, Director Health Services & Director Principal, GMCH through Video Conferencing.
WAR ROOM DIRECTIONS
1. Dr. Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER stated that they have 200 covid patients in Nehru Hospital Extension, out of which 61 belong to Chandigarh, 68 to Punjab, 32 to Haryana and 26 to Himachal Pradesh. He further stated that they have conducted 1,277 tests, out of which 94 positive cases belong to Chandigarh. Dr. BS Chavan, Director Principal, GMCH stated that they tested 293 samples, out of which 124 were found positive. He further mentioned that there are 157 patients in Sood Dharamshala and 61 patients in Dhanwantry College. He also mentioned that 52 covid patients have been medically treated and discharged during the last two days. Dr. G. Dewan, Director Health Services stated that they have conducted 551 RT-PCR tests, out of which 81 were found positive. He also mentioned that 437 Rapid Antigen tests have been conducted out of 82 were found positive. Dr. Dewan further mentioned that 5,000 new Antigen testing kits have been ordered. He also mentioned that 60,646 National Digital Health Cards have been issued.
2. Deputy Commissioner, Mohali stated that they have 1,895 active cases. Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula stated that they have 1055 active cases and Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh stated that they have 2,116 active cases.
3. Sh. K.K. Yadav, Deputy Commissioner (In-Charge) informed that 4,80,649 persons have downloaded Aarogya Setu Applications in the city. He further informed that 14,919 challans have been issued for various violations; such as not wearing masks and social distancing.
4. The Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT directed PGIMER to have two dedicated dialysis machines for covid positive patients, who are not admitted but need dialysis for regular health care. GMCH, Sector 32 has already dedicated two machines for such covid positive persons, who require regular maintenance dialysis.
